American Martial Arts Academy’s online photo gallery is a system that we have designed to be used by our members. Registered members on the website are be able to upload a certain amount of digital photos to our gallery which will be maintained by AMAA.

How do we use your information?

When you make a purchase from us, we use the information that you provide when making your order to confirm the validity of the purchase and the person or persons that are involved in the order. We use the information that you provide to process your order, send you messages or ask you questions by means of phone, postal mail, or e-mail.

When you receive an invitation that will enable you to register with our site, (for AMAA Members Only) you will be required to provide your email address, home address and phone number so that we can keep updated records of our members. Additionally by providing your address information the website will (at a future time) will be able to provide you with directions from your home to event locations using the address information that you provided. On your registration page you are able to opt in to receive e-Newsletters from us.

Members that choose to use the photo gallery to upload AMAA related images, please be aware that all images that you store on our server may be used, modified or displayed publicly in promotions that benefit AMAA.

How do I remove my information from e-mail, phone, and postal mailing lists?

We cannot completely remove your information from our system unless you terminate your membership with AMAA. Upon request however we can add you to a Do Not Mail list so that we can ensure that you do not receive messages from AMAA other than those regarding billing or of other similar and important nature. Please not that such requests may take up to 2 weeks to become effective.

How do we protect kid’s privacy?

Consistant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, we will never knowingly request a person’s information from anyone under 13 with out prior, verifiable, parental consent.

How do you use cookies?

We use cookies as to identify you as a user of the website. It allows you to keep items in your cart (as an unregistered user), keeps you logged in, we also use cookies to track and discover the identity of the website that you visited immediately prior to ours. We use cookies to enable you to fill out forms and contracts online. We do not keep any information in the cookie other then the necessary data that will keep you logged in.

As a user you are able to refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. However if you turn off cookies you will no longer be able to take advantage of the full functionality of AMAA’s website and others. How do we make sure that your order and information is secure?

American Martial Arts Academy has several security measures that allow you to use our website securely. We have enabled on our domain a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) system that (if you choose to use it) will allow you to use our website with a immense level of increased security. To use our (SSL) Connection change the beginning part of the address line in your browser from http to https this will cause the server to transmit and receive information in 128 bit encryption.

Please note that some browsers and some firewalls don’t permit communication through secure servers. In this situation it is recommended that you do not attempt to place an order or send or access any sensitive information you should consider placing your order by phone.

AMAA stores data in a database that is in a building that is protected by biometric security. It is backed up securely every night to ensure that information is not lost. We have a complex connection with the database that makes it impossible for hackers to access the information contained within. Information on the database can only be accessed by the AMAA Staff and the company that is hosting the website.
