Colin Duffy's Biography
My name is Colin Edward Duffy. I am 12 years of age, and have been training in Taekwondo for 5 years. My dad is a college professor, and my mom is an accountant. I am the eldest son and have a brother named Sean. I enjoy playing Xbox 360 and going to the park with my brother and dad. I also enjoy working at the Center with the kids and Mr. Caesar. I am an easy going person most of the time, unless I am sparring. I started Taekwondo, after trying other sports like baseball, and basketball. My mom also thought that this would help me focus in school. With the help of my Mom and friends I have stayed in Taekwondo. Also, my Mom said you always finish what you start or you will always go through life starting things and never finishing them. My favorite part of Taekwondo is kicking the pad and having a contest to see who has the highest jumping side kick, or better back kick. My defining moment in Taekwondo will be receiving my black belt and continuing to work under Master Kwaks’ instruction to become a true black belt. My mom was most influential in my success in Taekwondo. She has taught me to be proud of my accomplishments and always look for the best in people. Taekwondo helped me become a better person, by respecting my parents, and being loyal to my friends. My goal after achieving 1st dan in Taekwondo is to work on achieving 2nd dan and getting better with the Modern Day Knights demo team. I have truly enjoyed working with Master Kwak and the instructors on achieving this goal of receiving my black belt. This will be one of the happiest days in my life.
