Dillon Reynolds's Biography

My name is Dillon Russell Reynolds, and I am eleven years old, I have been training for four years at AMAA. I am excited about going into sixth grade. I am truly looking forward to attending middle school. I started Taekwondo because my parents felt it would build my confidence and help me with respect toward them and others. I wanted to stay in Taekwondo , because getting my black belt was so exciting to me. I have a very supportive and loving family that includes my two parents, 1 dog, three cats and three hamsters! My hobbies are playing games, taking care of animals(I would like to live on a farm so that I can have a lot more animals), I would describe myself as funny and silly at times, but I also have a serious side to me.

At times, staying in Taekwondo was difficult for me because I wanted to play with my friends instead. But I had to focus on my goal in getting my black belt. My favorite [part of doing Taekwondo is when we wrestle I also enjoyed so much when I was part of the demo team and using the different weapons. My defining moments in Taekwondo is when I would win trophies and gold metals in sparring. It made me feel I was good and succeeding in Taekwondo. The most influential people for me, was the instructors who would make me do things I did not think I could do and my friend Collin Duffy.

We kind of started out together and he has been very helpful in encouraging me and being my friend.
I believe Taekwondo has help me become more confident, brave and respectful to others who are less fortunate than me.

Although, I would like to take a break after finally getting my 1st dan in Taekwondo, my parents feel it would be the best thing for me to continue to get better and perhaps I can help others at AMAA achieve their black belts. I would like to be a counselor when I get older and help the instructors assist with the lower belts students. Even though I am very nervous about this Saturday, I will try to do my best and hopefully I will achieve a goal of mine that at one time I did not think would happen. Thank you AMAA staff for being so awesome and a place for me to go to, feeling that you all would be there for me in the bad and good times. I will never forget any of you and like I said, I would like to help out and give back to others.
